Fur Refurbishing Techniques

Before we refurbish or alter any old fur product, we begin by removing everything that isn't fur. Then there are several techniques
we can employ to transform your old furs into exciting new products:
Shearing gives your old furs a silkier, lighter feel by removing the coarse tips of the fur fibres and brushing up the undercoat. It also
brings all of the fur fibres onto a uniform plane, which gives the furs a new aesthetic appeal.
Plucking removes all of the thick, scratchy upper hairs, leaving only the soft, warm undercoat behind. The warmth of the fur is not
effected, but the softness is noticably enhanced and the furs lose any bulkiness that they may have had previously.
Cleaning makes your old furs feel like new again. By processing old furs with our specially designed fur tumbler, we are able to remove
any lose hairs, smells, or impurities. Cleaning also softens the leather significantly.
Lining old fur jackets, coats, bags, or accessories with fresh new materials can improve the comfort and look of your furs significantly.
We are also able to transform your old furs into new linings for jackets or blankets.
Dyeing can change the aesthetic of your old furs immensely. There are a wide array of different patterns, colours, and styles available.
