Persian – SWAKARA Lamb
The Karakul sheep (Persian) has been bred for 4600 years. The color of the coat is usually black, but it can also be gray or other colors. The skins of the African and Afghan Persian lambs are usually curly and have a stunning hair pattern. Due to breeding, SWAKARAs usually no longer have curls but somewhat wavy (Moiré) hair. The bred lambs and sheep are primarily used for meat production. The fur is a by-product of meat production. One of our primary goals is to use the available resources sustainably and produce our products in harmony with nature. Only well-bred animals can be used as high-quality fur skins. We have very high demands on the quality of the skins, and only the best Persian lamb skins are bought by us and processed into Persian blankets, carpets, and fur furniture.
