Sorting the Red Foxes
Cleaning of the Red Fox Fur
Your furs are thoroughly cleaned before we continue processing them. This involves a specialized cleaning procedure for furs. The furs are placed in a drum known as a "lauter drum". Inside the rotating drum, there are fine sawdust particles mixed with a natural cleaning agent. The furs rotate in the drum (you can imagine it as a large washing machine without water) for approximately one to two hours with the sawdust. Afterwards, the sawdust is removed. This process ensures that no grease or dirt residues remain in the fur.

After the furs have been cleaned, they are inspected for any damages.

Specialized fur machine
Once all damages are removed or repaired, the fur skins are moistened and shaped into a rectangular form as much as possible. After drying, the red fox skins are sorted by color and assembled into a larger surface area. However, this surface is not yet even and needs to be reshaped. The entire surface is re-stretched once again. Now, the fur blanket is almost complete in terms of shape. A fixing agent is applied to the leather side of the fur blanket to stabilize it, preventing it from stretching or tearing during use. The fur blanket is then cut to the desired size before undergoing another cleaning cycle in the drum to remove any loose hairs generated during the process.
